Spectacular hand carved, hand detailed, richly antiqued Impressionist style frame. The finish is rich dark antiqued black with warm umber undertones. The metal leaf on the inner liner is richly antiqued . The tones of this frame are enhanced by a subtle black lacquer finish. This is a three piece masterfully constructed frame with the middle liner being a one piece routed panel that will never have corner separation. The frame is over 4" wide and 1 1/2" in depth giving this frame a substantial appearance even at a larger 36" x 48" size. The rabbet depth is 1/2" deep but 3/4" to the back of he frame so it will easily accommodate a 3/4" deep stretched canvas.
